About Us

The mission of the Bolton Land Trust is to preserve farmland, forests, water resources, plant and animal habitats and scenic areas to enhance the quality of life in Bolton for the humans and other creatures that live here now and forever.

History of the Bolton Land Trust

The Bolton Land Trust was formed in April, 2001 by a group of Bolton residents who recognized the need for an organization solely dedicated to preserving land in Bolton. The land trust received its first property in May, 2004, when Rita Lombardi, whose husband's family lived and farmed for decades in Bolton, donated 21 wooded acres off School Road Extension. To date the land trust has preserved 180 acres of land in Bolton.
